Acting as an “automatic pressure regulator” for storage tanks, it is directly mounted on the tank roof via flange connection, with its vent opening directly to the atmosphere. Core Functions & Working Principle
The valve remains fully sealed under normal conditions. When internal pressure exceeds the set value due to tank filling or temperature rise, the pressure disc lifts to break the seal, releasing overpressurized gas to the atmosphere. Conversely, when a vacuum forms inside the tank due to discharging or cooling and exceeds the set vacuum level, the vacuum disc opens to draw in external air (or nitrogen) for pressure balance. Once pressure returns to balance, the discs reset quickly under gravity or spring force to restore tight sealing. This automatic cycle of “breathing in and out” effectively protects the tank structure while achieving energy conservation and environmental protection.
