Core Functions & Working Principle
This flame arrester is usually vertically installed at the end of pipelines, the outlet of storage tank breather valves, or the top of vent pipes, directly exposed to the atmosphere. Its core flame arresting element adopts a high-performance stainless steel corrugated plate flame arrestor core. When external flames attempt to propagate into the equipment through the discharge port, the flames enter the narrow channels of the flame arrestor core. Based on the classic "wall effect" principle, the flames come into contact with the large-area metal surface, and heat is quickly absorbed and dissipated, causing the flame temperature to drop below the ignition point, thereby "quenching" the flames, effectively preventing their continued spread and avoiding catastrophic explosions inside the tank or pipeline.
